The confessions of a shopaholic.

Informal a compulsive shopper
[from SHOP + -HOLIC]
shopaholism noun

Whenever I'm near a shopping center, mall, or high street I am overcome with a sense of euphoria and adrenaline. Wherever I see the divine god-like sparkly red 'SALE' signs, I'm there in a flash. I could be buying the tiniest thing in the world, but I still feel the rush when I walk to the cash register to go in for the kill.
Retail therapy does work. If you're in a bad mood, heartbroken or sick it heals you until you're scraping at the depths of your purse for a cheeky tenner and see that you only have a dusty 5 pence piece.
